Anal Hemroids: an overview
Anal Hemroids are more commonly known as piles. The anal Hemroid is inflammation or swelling of the veins in the anus. Anal Hemroids can also be described as the dilated veins located beneath the lining of the anal canal. The Hemroids are of two types, external Hemroids and internal Hemroids. Internal Hemroids are situated in the upper anal canal and the external Hemroids are situated in the lower anal canal. If the anal Hemroids is developed it won't cease naturally. The anal Hemroid gets worsen if proper care and medical treatment is not taken. The occurrence of Hemroids is common and it tends to increase with age. The anal Hemroids can also occur through inheritance. The anal Hemroids are most common at the time of pregnancy.
The causes of anal Hemroids
There are many reasons of the anal Hemroids but the most common reason is constipation. Sometimes the strain in the rectum to pass hard stools puts too much pressure on it and makes the veins swell. Anything that causes strain or trauma to the anal canal can be the reason of Hemroids. This is the reason why pregnant women get Hemroids from the weight and pressure of the baby. Another reasons for their anal hermoid is the genetic pre disposition, the result of which is weak rectal vein walls and valves. Other conditions such as persistent diarrhea, poor bathroom habits or reading in the bathroom, sitting for prolonged periods are also the contributory factors to the anal Hemroids. A low fiber diet can also be the reason of the anal hermoid, as low fiber diet can make the stool hard.
The treatments
The Hemroids is very difficult to be cured at home. But some simple home remedies can help in relieving the pain. Applying the moistened medicated pads or a cleansing agent on the anal can relieve the irritation in the anal to a great extent. Ice can also be applied to the effected area may also relieve the pain. There are a lot of other treatments and therapies available for the treatment of anal Hemroids. There are many surgeries also available for the treatment such as rubber band ligation which is most effective in the treatment of small and medium sized Hemroids.
