Biology of a Hangover

Intoxication has a number of instant harmful consequences. Hangover can bring on a depressed mood. In excess 75 percent of alcohol consumer have experienced a hangover at least once.15 percent have one at least every month and 23 percent of college students feel symptoms weekly. Hangover has great effect on our health. The official name for hangover is Visalia. The most common symptoms are headache, tiredness and dryness. The sternness and number of symptoms varies from person to person. The reasons for some symptoms aren't fully understood.

Various Biology Hangovers
1. Congeners: Different types of alcohol can affect unsympathetic hangover symptoms. This is because some types of alcoholic drink have a high concentration of congeners by yield of fermentation in some alcohol. Red wine and dark liquors has maximum amounts of these toxins are there. Different alcoholic drinkers have different congeners which combines the various impurities which can result particularly to severe hangover symptoms. Moreover the carbonations in beer really speed up the absorption of alcohol. Consequently following beer with liquor gives the body even less time than normal to develop the toxins.

2. Acetaldehyde: A result of alcohol metabolism that is more toxic than alcohol itself. Acetaldehyde is formed when the alcohol in the liver is broken down by an enzyme called alcohol dehydrogenase. The acetaldehyde is then attacked by another enzyme acetaldehyde dehydrogenase and other substance called glutathione which contain high quantities of cysteine. Regrettably the livers stores of glutathione leaving the toxin in the body for long periods of time. Some of the most common hangover symptoms are fatigue, stomach irritation and a common sense of illness all over -can be added credited to something called glutamine rebound.

3. Glutamine Rebound: After a night of alcohol intake a drinker will not sleep as soundly as usual because the body is rebounding from alcohols depressive effect on the system. When a person is drinking alcohol inhibits glutamine on of the body's natural stimulants. When a person stops drinking the body tries to make up for lost tie by producing more glutamine than it needs.

Remedies

There are many remedies for the hangover. Bananas, Eggs and Black coffee are some remedies. Eating such foods in the morning after a night of heavy drinking provides lost electrolytes like any food would, but it also particularly replenishes the potassium lost to alcohols diuretic effect.
