Common symptoms in Acid reflux

Acid reflux is a physiological condition in which the contents of the stomach along with the acids of the stomach revert back to the food canal upto the throat. The esophageal sphincter valve is the main cause of acid reflux problems. It allows the acid to reach to the upper level of the body. There are also other causes due to which reflux happens. They are mainly having an inappropriate diet, unhealthy lifestyle and other physical conditions. It becomes a chronic problem if the symptoms are not addressed in time. If they are addressed in time then further deterioration of the reflux can be prevented. Complications in acidic reflux involve esophageal inflammation and lesions, damage to the throat, gastrointestinal disorders and difficulty in breathing.

Common symptoms:

Common symptoms are, which are easy to identify and are commonly seen through many patients. If the symptoms are identified then the person should see a doctor or physician as soon as possible. The common symptoms are:
In infants:
1. Vomiting: vomiting of food frequently and spitting of food can be the symptoms in infants and in child. Vomiting is done mainly because of throat problems which occur due to reflux.
2. Irritability: if the child becomes irritable to something or refuse to eat particular food while eating then it can be the symptoms for reflux problems.
3. Respiratory problems: respiratory problems which are like runny nose, bad breath, sore throat, asthma, bronchitis can also be the symptoms for reflux related problems.

In adults:
1. Abdominal pain. Pain that radiates from heart to the abdomen can be the symptom for acid reflux. Abdominal pain is occurred due to increased pressure or irritation.
2. Bad breath: bad breath is formed due to soreness in the throat which can occur due to the acids reaching upto the food canal.
3. Sleeping problems: if the person is experiencing sleeping problems due to excessive chest pain or discomfort. Then it is also one of the symptoms for reflux.
4. Chest pain: this is one of the main symptoms of reflux related problems. In this type it is a severe pain in the chest pain along with irritability.

Proper Treatment:

If the above symptoms are occurred in the person he should consult the physician rather than searching solutions for each individual problem. This could further deteriorate the acid reflux.
