1) Patients are advised to sit in warm water.
2) They must clean the anorectal portion regularly in the day. They are recommended to use mild soap and water after bowel movements.
3) When external hemorrhoid disorders become very severe, the treatment too becomes more comprehensive. The treatment involves hemorrhoidectomy, sclerotherapy, laser therapy, cryotherapy, bipolar diathermy, infrared photocoagulation etc.
Some of the best treatment methods are actually preventive measures. They are as follows:
a) Balanced and a nutritious diet. It must include a lot of fiber.
b) It is essential that the person suffering from hemorrhoids drinks plenty of fluids, most importantly water.
c) Avoid constipation.
d) Not to have excessive pressure and straining during defecation.
e) Regular exercise.
