Who develops diabetes?




You don't have to feel guilt if you or your child ends up developing diabetes. You will want to know that it is just a myth that this is caused by eating too much sugar. No one really knows how you get it for sure, but it happens to be a question has been asked for years.

Many people think that you get diabetes because of your parents or some type of genetic role. You will find that your chances of getting it does increase if your close relatives have it, however, you still could live life without the fear of diabetes. It is not the genes causing you to have diabetes, but it is a combination of genetics and other factors.

For those who find it a complication, some people do end up getting type 1 without having any family members with the genes. You will find that there are still no results as to what some people will get it and other will not. Teens and small children develop type 1, but then there is type 2-diabetes.

People who have type 2 in their family is at greater risk for developing it through genetics. You will find that it can be developed because of major factors like overweight, lack of exercise, and if you are about of a certain ethnic groups. For some reason or another African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and Asians are more likely to be at risk for the disorder. Type 2 comes with age and you will find there are many people who will get it in their later stages of life.

It is very important that you do your research and that you try to find information on rather or not you are at risk for the disorder. You will be able to look up the symptoms of the disorder as well. You will need to make sure that you do everything you can to keep yourself from the other conditions that are caused by the disorder. You will want to seek out medical treatments as well.

Your doctor will be able to test you to see if you really do have diabetes or if it is some other ailment that disrupts your life. You will also want to consider the fact the disorder is not something that you will be able to overcome yourself, but you will need to get the proper medical treatment. Diabetes is something that you will want to consider becoming educated on if, you know anyone in your family with the disorder.
